We started Ohana Travels & Consultancy because too many UAE residents and visitors were getting burned by the same things: hidden fees, vague refund policies, visa applications submitted with errors nobody caught, and customer service that disappears the moment something goes wrong.
We operate differently. Every price we quote is final. Every booking comes with a written summary before you pay. Every visa application goes through a document check before submission. We are not the biggest travel agency in the UAE — we are the one that answers your WhatsApp message.
Ohana means family. In Hawaiian culture, it extends beyond blood relations — it means the people who show up for you. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to with every client: Qatar residents applying for an Abu Dhabi visa, Filipino families coming to Dubai for the first time, UAE residents escaping the summer heat for Armenia. We treat every booking like it matters, because to the person on the other end of the WhatsApp message, it does.
The UAE’s expat population is 10.04 million — 88.5% of the total population. Indians make up the largest community at 38.45%, followed by Pakistanis (16.72%), Bangladeshis (7.38%), and Filipinos (6.89%). Each community has different visa needs, different preferred destinations, and different travel patterns — particularly around the June to September heat escape and Ramadan/Eid travel home.
We also serve international tourists visiting the UAE, a market that brought 19.59 million visitors to Dubai in 2025 alone — a third consecutive record year.
Cleartrip carries an average rating near 1 out of 5 on review platforms, largely driven by refund delays stretching up to 90 days. Musafir faces repeated complaints about visa rejections with no explanation and no refund. Almosafer and Tajawal have documented cases of 30% deductions on cancelled bookings, refunded to wallet credit instead of cash.
We built Ohana Travels specifically to attack these failures: transparent all-in pricing with no hidden additions, a written refund policy provided before every booking, document checks before every visa submission, and WhatsApp support that actually responds.
We will never guarantee a visa approval. No licensed agency can — anyone who tells you otherwise is running a scam, and UAE authorities have specifically warned residents about agents charging AED 3,000–4,000 for “priority” appointment slots that don’t exist. We will never add a fee you weren’t told about in writing. We will never let a booking confirmation arrive after your money has already left your account.
